Funky Buddha Wrapped 2025: A Global Expansion Across 3 Continents

2025 was a landmark year for us. A year of extroversion, strategic growth and international consolidation, which paved the way for our next big step.

With a steady vision and dynamic presence, we expanded into new countries, writing an exciting chapter in our journey.

First stop: Romania

 

Romania was an important touchpoint for our expansion in 2025, with three new stores and the launch of a localized e-shop, bringing us closer to the Romanian public.

With this presence:

  •  Our omnichannel footprint was strengthened
  •  Easy access was provided to a constantly evolving fashion-oriented audience
  • The brand was given the opportunity to build a strong relationship with our local fans

 

Second stop: Skopje

 

The journey continued in Skopje with the opening of the first Funky Buddha store in the country, at Diamond Mall, one of the capital's top shopping destinations.

Our presence in Skopje marked:

  •  our entry into a new market in Southeast Europe
  •  the strengthening of our presence in the Balkans
  •  the introduction of a new audience to the brand's contemporary, authentic, and urban DNA

 

Third stop: Georgia

 

Shortly afterwards, we continued our international expansion by entering Georgia, further strengthening our footprint outside the European Union.

Our presence in the country was not limited to the physical store, but was also accompanied by our entry into a local marketplace, strengthening our footprint and offering easy access to an ever-evolving fashion audience.

Georgia was a strategic step towards new markets with a strong interest in contemporary fashion brands.

 

Fourth stop: South Africa

 

2025 culminated in a historic milestone:

the opening of our first Funky Buddha store in South Africa, in Constantia Village, Cape Town.

With this opening:

  •  we became the only Greek retail fashion brand with a physical presence in South Africa
  •  the brand officially entered the African continent
  •  a new chapter of global growth began

Cape Town, known for its creativity, lifestyle, and dynamic fashion scene, was the ideal location for this important move.

 

2025 at a glance

 

  •  12 new points of sale
  •  5 countries & 3 continents
  •  6 stores in Greece (Athens, Thessaloniki, Crete)
  •  3 stores in Romania and a new e-shop
  •  1 store in Skopje
  •  1 store in Georgia and entry into a local marketplace
  •  1 store in South Africa
  •  Renovation of 2 flagship stores in Athens

This growth was not simply a series of store openings.

It is a strategic step forward, strengthening the brand's presence both locally and internationally.
